Dennis Keschl is the Town Manager of Belgrade where he has lived for nearly 40 years. He has an undergraduate degree in Math and Physics from Mansfield University, PA and a Master’s of Science Degree in Environmental Science from Rutgers University, NJ. Dennis was the Town Manager for Belgrade from August 2006 to December 2010 and then served in the Maine State Legislature as a Representative from 2011 thru 2014.
He career includes work as the Administrative Director and Director of Technical Analysis Division for the Maine Public Utilities Commission, the Director of the Bureau of Air Quality Control and Director of the Division of Operations and Maintenance in the Bureau of Water Quality. He was the President of the New England Water Environment Association (NEWEA) in 1988 and the Chair of the New England Commission for Coordinated Air Use Management (NESCAUM) in 1994. A veteran with 31 years of service in the U.S. Army and the Maine Air National Guard, his Military career included work in Military Intelligence, Logistics and Planning, and as the 101st ARW Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Commander. Dennis is a member of the Belgrade Lakes Association, the Belgrade Public Library, Belgrade Historical Society, Ducks Unlimited, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Reserve Officers Association, the National Rifle Association, the Sportsmen Alliance of Maine, the National Guard Association of Maine, and Maine State Museum Commission.
