Wednesday, July 11 | Bees and Pollinators Presentation by Matt Scott

Matt Scott, retired aquatic biologist who worked for the State of Maine holds a Masters from UMaine and is a the co-founder of Maine State Beekeepers Association (MSBA).

Matt continues to provide advice and bee lectures to Maine’s chapter associations of the MSBA, UMaine offices and environmental groups. Scott is the owner of a 135-acre farm in Belgrade where he maintains honeybees, he understands the values and connections that bees play in Maine’s agriculture, wildlife and environment.

Presentation will be at the Maine Lakes Resource Center in Belgrade, Maine starts at 5:30pm. Donations welcome.

We will learn about water clarity with a hands-on sechi disk activity to see how sediment impacts lake visibility. We will chart our results to find out what it means about the health of our lakes! We will be outside, so please dress accordingly.
